I think it is crystal clear at this point that the options are to resign Bregman or acquire a new third baseman. We do not have a ready replacement within the organization.

If they like Matthews at that spot, they may look for a short-term deal or stopgap, but regardless, we need help here.

If there wasn't a possibility of this being Breggy's last regular season home game, I don't think he would have played at all. However, I do agree, this would be a much different game with him at 3rd. Shay has stunk the place up.
