According to this he is a free agent after this year. If we want to keep him we probably can for fairly cheap.

You look into it further and this season they have almost the same amount RBI and Runs scored. Luis only has 9 steals.

One is doing it with hits, one is doing it with walks.

Honestly, they are the same offensive player this year.

It's a shame Luis is slow, because if he was a threat to steal, he'd get the edge for sure.

Arraez has an fWAR of 1.5, a WPA of 0.25 and an RE24 of -0.16

Soler is fWAR = 0.8, WPA = -0.46 and RE24 of 4.9.

Frankly neither has been super vaulable.

For comparison, Altuve has a wRC+ of 131, fWAR of 4.0, WPA of 2.07 and a RE24 of 16.11. Thats a valuable line.

Yordan is 166, 5.0, 3.25 and 40.65. Yordan is as expected off the charts for everyone not named Judge in the AL Judge is 214, 10, 5.43 and 84.00.

I have to admit I don't understand the numbers. I expected Arraez to show up much better. He gets on a lot for Tatis, Manny, Profar and the rookie. He should look valuable and he doesn't.

Yeah, it does seem to defy logic, but I think the answer is he can't create his own runs, he can't get into scoring position, and as a lead-off hitter, he rarely has guys on in front of him to drive in.

I wonder how many DPs he's been a a part of or how many times he's been stranded at 1st this season.

Honestly, he is probably better as a guy hitting 5th or 6th to try and maximize opportunities for his hits to turn into RBIs.

You want your 2nd or 3rd best hitter leading off. He's probably not that guy unless it's a bad team.

Keep in mind this show airs on space city home network, a network partially owned by the Astros. Someone will probably not be too happy with that
