I know this thread was ****ting on the Astros for never having the roof open when the Texans announced theirs would be open tonight.

But, got to say, doesn't exactly feel great outside right now…..

A win is a win. The game didn't have to be that close but we still won
No matter what!
Epstein didn't do, you know, the thing...
I'm the rare Astros/Cowboys/Spurs fan. We do exist

Texans rarely open the roof too. I'm guessing the NFL forced them to do it so they can get aerial shots for the broadcast.

I'm pretty sure the roof is still a casualty of Beryl.

Because it's only the fans that want it open. The teams want them closed. I've never understood why the fans are so adversarial against the wishes of the team when it comes to the roof.

The next week will be interesting. We've got three vs SD and four vs LAA. Seattle has three vs NYY and three vs ARL, who has mailed it in.

Last season we matched up with Seattle in the second to last series with a 0.5 game lead on them. It would be great to have put the division away this time around. Also easier that the Rangers have already eliminated themselves this season and aren't in the mix.

Feels pretty nice up on the terrace with the breeze going. Can't quite hear NRG from this side of town though.

We're gonna need the Yankees this week.

If the Texans hold on it could be the perfect sports weekend

Aggies win, Astros sweep, rangers get swept, cowboys lose, Texans (hopefully) win

Yeah but they played a nobody and got their QB injured so don't really count that as a big win

What a weekend.

Astros sweep. Ags won. Texans won. Rangers lost 3 in a row. Cowboys got embarrassed at home. ManU won.

It was a perfect weekend. They don't come along very often.

He had a pretty brutal stretch recently with a lot of K's. Yesterday was a big day for him to get back on track

He's been solid in the field and had 2 good days at the plate. But he's had some pretty horrid ABs as well. He's been a mixed bag, but considering the way he was acquired, that's to be expected. Overall I think the good has far outweighed the bad.

We've been giving Howard too many PAs vs LHP. In LA this year only 7% of his PA were vs LHP, so far with us, it's a 28% clip. In those 8 PA vs LHP, he is 0-8 with 6 SO. I know injuries may have forced our hand a little, but Joe needs to get better here if we want JHey in the postseason.
