Agree. Getting Chas hitting again, if possible, is by far our best option.
2021-23 Chas is head & shoulders above Jake at the plate. Jake needs to be a PR/defensive sub in the postseason but he can only be that if Chas pulls his head out.

I'm just shocked how fast it flipped. Chas gets sent down, Jake goes to have a kid, chas comes back, abd suddenly he's on top. All in the span of a week

It's more an exercise in keeping pitchers fresh. HB and Blanco, I believe, are even better with extra rest days, and they're playing in excess of two weeks without an off day.

If there's no testing, is something truly banned? Steroid testing didn't start until the 2000s, though they were "banned" in the early 90s. If MLB was fine with guys taking PEDs for over a century, why do sportswriters care so much? Can you imagine if the NFL did that?
