he draws walks...and that really boosts his OPS
1 walk every 10 plate appearances
keeps his OPS in the .770 range
We're about to have that same problem at 3B if Breggy leaves. No one is left on the market unless you like Yoan Moncada or Gio Urshela.Ag_07 said:
I really want to know how capable Alex can be at 1B.
Because I wouldn't pay him $151/6 to play 3B but if he can make that transition that would solve a lot of problems.
Stros have a serious gapping hole there and no one we've thrown out there is a solution.

Jake Meyers will not be in Cincinnati today but had to be reinstated from the paternity list after three days. He will rejoin the team tomorrow in Houston.

And OPS undervalues getting on base / walks.W said:

I don't hate what I see from Shay early on. Do we transition him to 1B? Dezenzo has some serious bat speed and pop, he just isn't polished (ready) yet.Mathguy64 said:Ag_07 said:

There is a solution at 1B. Singleton and a RHH. Find a cheap guy to platoon.

Joe Espada said the hope is Kyle Tucker can be activated tomorrow. The Astros are gauging how Tucker recovers from his pregame work here the last few days.

The Astros have not announced their rotation for the Arizona series. Joe Espada said they are “checking on a few things” and should have it after today’s game.

Do you see anyone paying Bregman 150/6?
My guess is it's something to do with whether to skip Blanco or not given the short starts we've had 2 days in a row.Boiling Denim said:EastCoastAgNc said:The Astros have not announced their rotation for the Arizona series. Why did we tamper with the great order of Altuve-Bregman-Yordan-Yanier again?

Because it was working too well. Rule of baseball managers states if a thing is working and becomes routine, you have to change it.
Alvarez got moved up to the two spot with the Bregman's elbow woes however I have no idea why he does not go back to third in the order when Alex is in the lineup. The Porkchop Express said:
