What's funny about all these posts is that most posters still wrote off the Astros this year.
I was one of them I'll admit. I was wrong.
But also at that point we were seeing Jose Abreu every day, the bullpen was in shambles + Arighetti and brown were putrid and Javier had just been announced to get TJ.
You can't really blame people for thinking they weren't going to turn it around given the circumstances

Having watched the Aggies since the days of Tom Wilson and been personally tied to them since Jackie Sherrill was here, I can say that that the Aggie football is like Rangers baseball. Infrequent success, like one year in 5 or 6. But once they have that really good year (not great but good) they follow it up with 5-6 years of absolute mediocrity. Yes RC has a really good run. But show me his collection of NC rings. Or even NC games played.
There is nothing in the history of Aggie football that says they have ever been relevant. And for some reason we (Aggies) have this inflated sense that makes us think that we have a stellar history and we then go bonkers when we flame out. The reality is we flame out most every year and there isn't any reason to get mad about it. It's normal.
With all due respect, the Ags are the like the Astros prior to 2005. They've never won anything and always fail to live up to the hype. The 2017 changed the culture of this program and know they actually know how to win. Cannot say the same for Texas A&M
lol yall are completely missing the point. I'm not saying anything about why you're wrong about writing off Aggie football. Personally, I don't really care either. A few years ago I would have been at Kyle field at 6 am starting my tailgate. Now, I'm with family and watched maybe half the game. Things change. Part is lack of reason to be excited, but mainly it's having kids and not having as much time so wanting to spend that free time differently now.

I like the Salazar call up a lot. Now Joe can do what he's been doing with Diaz and Caratini but he doesn't have to get creative at the end with who PHs when.

Who would get called up? Without going deep into the minors, the only real option is Grae. If we need someone to keep the bench warm, might as well just keep breggy off the IL
