I'm a lot more hopeful for Chas than I am for Jake.

Chas has been a good hitter for a pretty big sample and he's too young to have lost it physically. It's got to be mental and so there's hope for him to come around.

Jake aside from some hot streaks has always been a pretty bad major league hitter. I don't think there's anything wrong with him, just not very good offensively.

I, personally, wouldn't call Singleton's atrocious. Started off with a ball out of the zone called a strike, then he took a deep count and fought off some tough ones. Just came up empty chasing a high heater.
