Clutch pitching by Clase on the road. Bases loaded none out for the Twins and he gets a K and double play to preserve a two run lead. Cleveland and Minnesota split a 4 game series, so we gain on both teams. Race for the number 2 seed still within reason.
We sweep one of the better teams in baseball, but struggle with Arlington and Oakland. That's baseball.

Last week while waiting for something to start, I applied my statistical mind to the difference between TexAgs Astros and Rangers' posters.
Here's the comparison
Astros 2024 thread: Started 3/27/24

March pages: 67 March record: 0-4
April pages: 363 April record: 10-15
May pages: 324 May record: 15-14
June pages: 219 June record: 17-8
July pages: 276 July record: 14-11
August pages: 98 (to date) August record: 6-3
Analysis: It's funny to see that the most posts easily came along with the worst month(s) (March/April) as all of the naysayers came out of the woodwork to cast dispersion on the death of the dynasty. I had to do the math 3 times to make sure I had the June page count right - when you win a lot, there are a lot fewer posts if you're the Astros because the haters fall off.

April pages: 120 April record: 14-13

Analysis: So this is fairly hilarious. The Rangers' fans tallied 145 pages during their 16-14 start to the year - but more importantly while the Astros were falling into a 10-19 hole. That's 44% of their entire thread to date in the first 33 days of the season. From May 1 to today (Aug 11), they've only managed an additional 186 pages. That means they averaged 4.4 pages / day in March/April, but from May 1 until now, it's down to 1.7 pages a day. The Astro thread's worst month by comparison is 7.3 pages a day in June.
For all the lurking Ranger fans, this took me 15 minutes to do. Yes, that's how I spent my time.

I don't think there is an option to pick up. He either beats and gets it or doesn't. At least that's how I understand it.
