Now that the Chicago White Sox have fired Pedro Grifol, it's probably time to turn to a veteran manager with experience and World Series-winning pedigree to work with a young team.

Perfect opportunity to bring back the Player/Manger with Maldy

Pretty sure the league has some kind of rules in place that determine game times based on travel. The Rangers used to have a lot of Sunday evening starts because of playing outdoors in the 100 weather, but other teams complained about short turnaround times from a Sunday night game to a game somewhere else the following day. The league stopped allowing them to do that, and for the last several years at their old ballpark, day baseball was played in Arlington on getaway days.

All that being said, why the game next Thursday is a day game when both teams stay in the Eastern time zone the following day is intriguing.
