It never makes sense. They treat 1B like it's so easy in the minors so why bother giving guys time there then call them up and the big league staff is like, "This guy doesn't know how to play first" as if it's a surprise. Completely disjointed approach. Just because 1B is the "easy" position doesn't mean it's skill less. It requires the least athleticism but just as much if not more fundamentals than other positions.
