I'd listen on Baez and one of the CF but Matthews to me is off limits. He's the only guy above A ball that has star potential. I don't think superstar but go to an all star game or two in his career.

Strange. I have to admit, I have never understood the Melton love as I just don't see him hitting enough. I have always seen him as a prospect to dangle in a trade, especially with all of the young OF in our system.

I value Baez much more, personally.

But Dana definitely has an eye for talent, and I am a guy behind a keyboard. Which of course makes me right.

I think Baez ends up at first base long term. He doesn't move super well. Melton is a funny one. I've never heard opinions on a player that differ as much as him.

Some think he won't last longer than a year or two in the bigs. Some think he's a future 30/30 guy. It's truly bizarre.

Another OF prospect to remember: Zach Cole is gaining a lot of attention

Scouting and player development is so interesting and I would love to sit in with these guys one day and hear them talk about the prospects and learn how they evaluate.
