I am pro Breggy leading off.

It's wasn't so much a second half but a month where everything he hit with a bat was a hit. Other than that month was he really that good?

They're both about the same age. They want them both to get ABs and see what they have especially as we get closer to the deadline.

Edit: I thought Cabbage was only a year older but he's closer to two

I like what Cabbage has shown. He murdered the minors for LAA, but they gave up on him due to his K rate. He's made the most out of his shot. 16.7% Barrel%, 47.2% HH%, 92.4 EV. If he could only figure out how to draw some walks he's be a well above average hitter.

Finding gems has been a hallmark of this era for the Astros (Marwin Gonzalez, countless pitchers, Mauricio Dubon...and I'm sure I'm overlooking someone(s) else), so if Trey Cabbage turns out to be another one of those guys over the next several seasons; it kind of makes sense.

I would expect there to be language in each contract dictating what to do in that situation. I would assume that the estate keeps receiving the payments until the end of the contract.

Look for the Rockies to upset the Brewers with the pitching change
