It's possible Matthews eventually moves to 3B, but I've never heard that being in the plans. As far as I know, it's SS or CF for him.

I'm not sold (yet) on either Dezenzo or Whitcomb long term. It's very possible one of them breaks out in a big way, but if I had to guess right now, I would say a FA/trade candidate.

We are going to learn a lot between now and June 20th about this division and whether we have a shot at all.

Both the Mariners and Astros get a series against the WhiteSox (theirs is a 4 game series).

Aside from that, we get the Angels (24-38), the Giants (30-33) and Detroit (31-31)


Mariners get Kansas City (37-26), Rangers (30-32), and Cleveland (40-21).


We are 7.5 games back, and at a minimum we need to pick up 2-3 games on them during this stretch.


Perfect but realistic scenario would be: sweep the Sox, take 2/3 from each of the other three: 9-3. Meanwhile Mariners go 3-1 against Sox, and hopefully 1-2 against KC and Cleveland, 2-1 against Rangers: 7-6. Net pickup is 2.5, so get within 5 games a month before the ASB.

If we fart around and stay 7.5 games back with the favorable schedule that window is starting to close.

I've always had a question about Korey Lee, I play the popular sim series OOTP baseball; and they always have Korey Lee down as a locker-room cancer. They do an absolute ton of research into all of their players, so was thinking where there's smoke there's fire.

I think I've heard the personality traits and such are randomly set by the devs at least for historical years, but I know they're tweakable under the hood as well.

While I will root for the 'Stros all the way until Oct, the rational side of me is beginning to cope w the likelihood we won't be in the playoffs. We are in the midst of our best ball of the year, and we basically played .600 ball over the last 27 games. If we play .600 ball for half of our remaining games (roughly 50 games) and .500 ball for the other half (49 games), we'll finish w 83 wins.
Unless we can play at .600 or above for more than half of the remaining games, I don't think we make it.
Question - can we put together a 25+ game stretch where we play over .600 ball?
