Urquidy, imo, has never been a full time starter candidate. That short arm throwing motion where his arm hits the brakes not long after release is not sustainable. He has no trade value right now

The problem is TUck is sort of 2000 Richard Hidalgo right now. Having a massive year but we are still on pace to lose 90 games. Do they break the bank for him or committ that money to improving multiple deficiencies going forward. ? An idea I've heard floated on Twitter is signing Urqidy to a two year deal, buy out his last arb year and let him rehab where he's comfortable and then have a prove it year in 26. Don't know where I stand on it but it's an idea.

Urquidy had some good moments and I enjoyed watching him hammer that strike zone when he was on. Sorry to see him go down and hope he can make it back in the league somewhere.

Leave out the pitching arm injuries. You can't predict that ahead of time and it just is what it is.
The rest of it is definitely a "team is less than the sum of its parts" issue. It was true for SD, the Mets and other teams. And it's not just the players. The back side (coaches, front office, nerds) all seem to be rotting as well. That's going to hard to fix.

I'd be interested in your definition of wheels fall off. If we just stay the course this team will be in for extended bad baseball starting in 2026 if they don't trade some vets for youth or commit to ridiculous free agent spending. The farm is too poor and that's too little time to rebuild it.
