There's a lot of suck to go around when you're winning at a .333 clip.

Bregman is pretty good when batting with 2 out and RISP (.940 OPS).
When the game is close and late, however, he is Choke City. He sports a career .697 OPS in nearly 500 plate appearances. This year he is mowing them down at an eye-popping .452 OPS level.
If the game is on the line, Bregman is the LAST player you want at the plate (besides Abreu, of course).
Bregman strikes me as an Analysis Paralysis victim. He's trying too hard to win the chess match and misses mistakes and gets caught guessing

So now we have or have had since the start of the season:
JV
Framber
CJ
Garcia
Urquidy
LMJ
All on the IL or unable to start in Framber case.
That's your entire 6 man seasonal rotation right there. The whole starting staff. That's spectacular.

He's looked very mediocre. I expected a step back from his crazy good season last year, but nothing like this. I think he'll work his way out of it.

Diaz has been playing a lot. I assume they like the idea of him getting two full days of rest. While we've had a lot of pitching injuries, we've had none on offense. No reason to push our luck.
You could DH him today and Tuesday. To me that's still maximizing his offense and not giving him some partial time off. We had an off day Thursday and have another one tomorrow

Most teams don't consider DH a day of rest. Yes it's better than catching but it's as much a mental break as anything else.
The guy I'd like to see DH more is Altuve. He sucks in the field and he's not a spring chicken. Can't afford to lose him for a significant period of time.
#Angels transactions:
— Angels PR (@LAAngelsPR) April 21, 2024
•Selected the contract of INF Ehire Adrianza (#13)
•Placed INF Anthony Rendon (left hamstring strain) on 10-day injured list
•Transferred RHP Robert Stephenson to 60-day injured list
Except when he throws balls and blue calls them strikes. Or when he throws balls and we swing at them.W said:
this guy throws strikes

Credit to @Raford3 for asking the question. Can be easy on a team-run broadcast to avoid anything negative or uncomfortable.
