Again, when does it become on the manager? He's responsible for how the team plays. If something is off in the locker room, it's his job to fix it. He's not just there to fill out a lineup card.

How many games have we blown in the 8th inning or later so fat. Feels like most of them.

At this point, you have to laugh. What a waste.

Not this early in the season of his first year managing the team. If these losses and mistakes were because of poor managerial decisions, sure, the blame is owed to the manager. Right now it's on:

Abreu for sucking ass
Bregman for sucking ass
Our BP that can't close out a lead to save their life
Starting rotation on the IL

I've seen mistakes by Espada but not sure I can blame the guy right now. Unless he's running the Dusty resort style locker room and letting vets do whatever the hell they want

Boys boys relax, I have only lost ONCE seeing the Astros live and it was in Baltimore, and I'm going tomorrow.

Since the beeline toward lost season has no diversions apparently, the fun thing right now is the Doyers superteam being 12-11 after losing to the Mets at home again..

I have said they couldn't afford to let him play to May like this. If nothing changed in the record that had to be the fish or cut bait time.

I'm not sure they can wait another week. He's a complete zero at the plate and he's hurting the team in the field in every single game.

This isn't an Espada level decision. And it's not one for Dana either. This one needs to be made by Crane. At that kind of money he's got a choice to make. Cut Abreu loose and eat the remainder of the $40MM, tell Espada he's free to sit Abreu for the season, or tell Espada to keep playing him.

Abreu is done.

Otherwise, this team has no excuses. Such a woeful underperformance to date.
