He allowed 6 runs for the space cowboys last weekend. Not a great sign early. Hard to be worse than what we've seen lately.

My question is why the coaches let him throw 43 pitches in an inning.

it was discussed previously...

JV's vesting option for 2025 is 140 innings pitched in 2024 -- I think that's right

if he misses all of April -- it's going to be close to 140 by the end of the year

Given his age and recent injury history I'd be shocked if he has another full season in him after 2024
