I'm not usually into emotion or fire with baseball. Usually the best pitching wins games. But...

Was hiring an extreme player's coach the right thing? Not that you need an extreme Showalter necessarily... but it is surprising to me that the veterans haven't picked up and shown some leadership.

Without talented youth and some energy, these guys look totally listless.

Don't blame Espada. Blame Crane.

There were clear faults last year that were known. Hunter Brown sucked. JP France was lucky early and lost, or teams figured him out, later on. Framber is a headcase.

We let multiple relievers leave and only signed one guy, who will never play because we lack the depth to lead games. We didn't address our starting pitching depth for a one year deal with an ace because *reasons* (ego)

He was counting on Hunter Brown, Framber, JP France, and everyone else to stay healthy AND decent until McCullers and Garcia return. Whoops. Season may be over before that happens.

Good thing we have JV back soon, but he's only one starter and there are serious issues for multiple guys.
