No amount of advanced analytics will convince me Hunter Brown is a good pitcher. All I see are straight-line fastballs and easily identified curveballs leading to batting practice sessions.

He's Enoli Paredes at this point

He needs to figure **** out fast or he's gone from MLB

I feel bad for the Astros who chose this series as their road trip in 2024

It's interesting, the analytics sort of go both ways. He was the most unlucky pitcher by BABIP last year, but his fastball just does not play well, and like most of our pitchers if he can't locate his offspeed then he's cooked. I tend to think it's somewhere in the middle, but that isn't enough for the pitching staff as currently constructed. If everyone is healthy, he should be in the pen.

Bregman should change his number to 6-3
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

Rags get shut out 1-0 to lose another to the A's. Nothing's over yet.

Is there a cancer in the locker room that needs to be nuked?

Something is wrong for these guys to be playing this poorly.

They don't have peepaw's knee to sit on and tell them stories about the good ol days anymore.

I took my dog to the little league park to play fetch. He took a big juicy dump on the pitchers mound. I called it the "Hunter Brown."

No but we still have some posters who like to drive by this thread and pretend this team currently sucks because he left.

If we were to win 8 in a row soon like Dana said… it would be this stretch where hopefully Framber and possibly JV are returning

If it's any consolation… the rangers just lost the series to the A's so neither team is rolling into Minute Maid tomorrow with any momentum

What move have the Astros got right since Click was pushed out?

That Hader contract is looking bad. You could have signed some depth to the staff but instead gave $19 million to a guy who will only pitch an inning here or there.

The Sacramento A's have started their franchise 2-1.

Maybe we fight cancer with cancer and bring in Bauer.

Either he's
A) cleaned his act up. All of a sudden is a team player who pitches well, helps out, creates a "spark" and everyone sings kumbaya and wins games
Or
B) He's still a dick. Everyone hates him. However, he turns out to be a bigger cancer than whatever is going on in the clubhouse now, and everyone on the team is unified through the hatred. We cut him after a few starts and the team plays with a fire in their bellies after dealing with "adversity"

Getting JV back at a discount $$ wise.

Getting Rally Kate back is probably my #1 concern right now.

Discount money-wise yes, but man we gave up some really, really good young players. And IF this turns out to be a rebuild situation, I hope we can a least get some of that value back from whoever wants JV for a playoff run.

This is what I'm talking about.

We are 4-10, but the Rangers are leading the division at 7-6. They've played Astros, Rays, Cubs and A's -- not world beaters.

We are by no means out of it. Angels are 6-6. They've played O's, Marlins, Red Sox and Rays. Seattle is 5-8 playing Red Sox, Brewers, Guardians and Jays.

We just have to get right, ride this out and stay relatively close. We are getting runners on base, just can't get them home. Those runs will come.

By no means out of it… but we can't afford to keep playing the way we have been playing or we could find ourselves out of it.
