Yeah but 94 games in 2022, 45 games last year and a .681 OPS with the Red Sox since he signed in the 2021/22 offseason
6 years 140M and he will have played 145 games combined in 3 seasons

Yup. Pretty bad. I wanted him if the price was right. He was only a few years removed from almost 11 WAR over 2 seasons.

Not great news for Framber
This might not be a huge deal. Couldn't they place Framber on the IL retroactive to April 2? If it's something minor and he'll only miss a start or two it makes sense.
Would be awesome if JV and Framber came back the same week but I'm thinking Framber might be a while… just a bad feeling

I'm concerned since Framber said "low to medium" on the pain scale. Buuuut apparently the pain is in a muscle area vs tendon.
Those sure are some pretty ERAs they've got there. It's be an awful shame for somebody to come to town and ***k 'em all up.
I agree with this. France's analytics may not be impressive, but he does seem to be a gamer. The numbers may say he's been "lucky" (ie better actual numbers than expected), but results are what matters.redline248 said:

He may not be even a 5th guy if everyone is healthy, but the reality in today's baseball is that you will probably always have at least on SP with fatigue/tightness/etc. France is taking advantage of his opportunities right now.

They'd have swept us at home late last year.
Have to wonder what Korey Lee is thinking after being traded by the Astros last year b/c Maldy was consuming one of the catcher spots...only to get bumped from catching by Maldy the next year on his new team.
It's funny. They never saw him as an everyday catcher in the MLB. I loved that we were able to get Graveman for him.. unfortunately he's hurt but I thought it was a good deal at the time.
