When did 25 years old become over the hill???
Disagree. Rather keep Chas.Ag_07 said:
Crazy to say but I think I rather keep Jake.
I think Chas' 2023 was the anomaly.
If he just hit .250 with an average OPS that's like 5 singles, a double, and a HR. Imagine what just that average production could have done especially considering he came up a LOT with men on base during that time.W said:
and during the sweeps to the Yankees, Royals, Braves, and Cubs back in April...
Abreu went 0 for 27 at the plate
C'mon that ain't happening. Owners in America simply convince tax payers to cover the cost of billion dollar stadiums, let them fall apart by investing nothing into it after its built and then convincing the tax payers to build them a new one or threaten to move the teamMarvin said:EastCoastAgNc said:Here’s something that’s rare. Not all that rare, even when the roof is closed. Hopefully, they invest in some maintenance during the offseason.

Sadly I don't think we can count on LMJ. I really hope I'm wrong but it's been 3 years since we got anything signficant from him. The problem is in order for him to be effective he has to put too much torque and strain on his arm. Also, his competitiveness won't allow him to go anything other than 100% and I totally respect that but it works against him.tjack16 said:
Give me Vlad Jr plus a bullpen arm this trade deadline and I think we make the playoffs (as long as LMJ and LuAce actually do come back and are productive)

Sure. Bregman for Soto. Straight up.
Both are FA to be. So it's a rental each way. Let's do it.

#Astros announce a 2nd surgery for pitcher Oliver Ortega to remove a bone spur in his right elbow. In March, he had surgery on his right elbow to remove loose bodies. Ortega was claimed off waivers from Twins last October & has been on IL since before the regular season.

Jeez, I was way off on his age. My bad. But still, I don't know if I like adding someone new when the team is still playing well. Not to mention that the rules changes, especially on the bases, seem to be pushing the game back more towards station to station play a bit.bearkatag15 said:
