I see your point, but Jimbo's is a lot more lasting. He's getting paid until like 2030. Abreu is off the books after next year.

We went to the ALCS with Abreu….which is a greater achievement than either of those.

We also voluntarily bumped jimbos contract then fired him with, what, 8 years left on his guaranteed?

Jimbo had $40MM more. And the paying customers are a lot closer to having to foot the bill in college athletics.

Jimbo wasn't meeting expectations but he wasn't the worst coach in the league. Abreu was/is literally dog *****
