Also, that Peña trade was terrible for the A's. Beane should have tried to get it taken out of the movie it was so embarrassingly bad.

the Mitch Garver signing has been a disaster

I think it's always been this way. The guys you remember being great after 30 are because they are the greats. They are the 1% of the 1% for a reason.

They say 27 years old is most players prime.

Yup. When he's taking that outside pitch to the opposite field, he's at his best. Also hope he's close to returning to form.

When he beats players at this pitch it basically makes the pitcher second guess their strategy and they have no real way of getting him out and can't rely on that pitch.

So yeah, he better start getting good at hitting it because then he'll see a lot more pitches he does prefer and like more.
