Yup. But we should happen with what we got from him and not push it. Generally pitchers are worse the 3rd time through.

I get that but I just want to build confidence and secure the win. 3 runs in the first then 4 shutty after = good game for Hunter. He can build on it. Now he's leaving with a bad taste in his mouth and the game is much more in question. The bullpen is fresh. Let's use them.

It wasnt an overall great outing but good for him shaking off another awful start. In this mental battle he's fighting it Im sure it helps reassure him that he does have solid stuff if he executes his pitches.

And I guess it just depends on your mindset. Sure, he didn't leave the 6th like he wanted, but he now has data on a performance the 3rd time though the order. Experience is a great teacher. Espada let him have a chance to test himself without being able to lose the game. My opinion, that pretty darn valuable.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one, and I'm ok with that.

But I am all for testing young guys limits in a safer circumstance.
