You can only address the pen/rotation if the owner allows it. There's a lot of money tied up in pitchers that aren't pitching right now.

I wonder how hard we push Verlander once he gets back...140 IP to trigger next year's contract. I can see both sides even if we fall out of contention. If he pitches well enough to get close to the threshold, it could be worth the cost just for "certainty".

I really just do not have a good vibe that we'll turn this thing around. I think when we get to late June/July there's going to be a hot debate on whether we should be sellers or not. Right now, I think we will be unfortunately.

JV: Soon, probably about a week
Framber: who knows, only starting to play catch
Urquidy: last I heard was he is getting close to getting on a mound, so probably still at least a month if all goes well
LMJ and Luace: probably late July early August
