It was remarkable this year to see the hitting approach of guys who came up from the minors vs the approach of the big league guys, and how much better the minor league guys were for about a week. Once they had been away from that coaching for more than 7-10 days and under the direction of Cintron and Snitker, they started sucking.

No hitting coach in the league should be judged on how rookies called up perform after a week in the league.
Rookies struggle. That's a given and not an accurate reflection of the hitting coach. There are more concerning issues and more accurate data points to judge the hitting coaches on.
My only major complaint with the offense was hitting with runners on base. I don't really care about working the count. We had a high batting average and a top 10 OBP. From that standpoint, the aggressive approach was fine. There's obviously room to adjust when presented with the opportunity to drive in runs. But overall, we didn't strikeout and we put the ball in play. That's generally going to lead to productivity.

I don't hate Jomboy nearly as much as most do on here. Yeah, I think he was extremely reckless and immature with the Altuve stuff, but I think he got caught up in the whirlwind and let his Yankee bias play into his actions. I hope how the way his narrative took off and was proven false impacts him for the future.
