I've been assured it's easy to play. Get a big glove and get out there.

I don't understand this concept. It's incredibly difficult. Footwork. Catching all kinds of errant throws. Timing. You are involved in just about every infield play. Why we keep putting guys there who have never played there is beyond me. Singleton at DH and Caratini at 1B is just plain dumb.

How about these WAR rankings by position for the Astros in 2024:

SP- 12th
RP- 10th
C- 7th
1B- 29th
2B- 5th
SS- 13th
3B- 7th
LF- 18th
CF- 16th
RF- 3rd (Tuck effect)
DH- 4th
PH- 23rd

No first baseman, Tucker's absence, and zero bench will do this team in, but pretty good otherwise.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

Sorry to quote myself, but I continue to wonder what Dana was thinking at the trade deadline and in reviewing the waiver wire in terms of a 1B platoon bat.
