Blummer talking about how this is an uncharacteristic performance for this team today, but in all honesty, for this season, is it really uncharacteristic?

All I know is we have given away way more games than we've "stolen" this year ... thats for damn sure

It's comical how bad this lineup is. We have four 9-hole hitters playing every day.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

The one nice thing about 162 game season, is that as painful as the loses have been the last 2 days, they won't matter at the end of the year if we take care of business.

We really need Yordan and Tuck back ASAP though.

I don't think it's a doomer or pessimistic take to think this team is not very good without Yordan and Tucker in the lineup and they probably won't do a whole lot of winning against top teams until they're back.

My only concern is Seattle gets the fired coach boost and closes this gap to an uncomfortable level

Between Yordan and Bregman's off-field injuries and the newly reinstated rest days here and there for the talent we're closer to being down two of our best bats on any given night than getting back to full strength.

Tough stretch - and we'd been getting by a little bit on smoke and mirrors given the lapsed D and makeshift lineup of below average bats. Hopefully Seattle continues to flounder.

What could have been - Astros blow two games in a row and could have been 6.5 games ahead rather than 4.5.

Frustrating that Tucker and Alvarez are missing during stretch time.

I look at it this way, our starting pitching is still elite right now and Yordan SHOULD come back hopefully tomorrow and I'm fairly sure if we had him the last two games we'd be 3-0 going for a sweep tomorrow. We just need to get to the playoffs ANY spot and I like our chances.

To say they haven't been good w/o Tucker isn't being honest with yourself. They haven't been winning in spite of losing Tucker but they've definitely been a better overall team without him than they were with him.

and Tucker has not gone on a rehab assignment...and there has not even been an announcement of the rehab assignment

September 10th at the earliest now

wonder if there's some kind of blood circulation / clotting issue or concern going on in the lower leg

which might explain a long recovery (when there was not an actual broken bone)
