Awful showing at the plate today. Criswell has been really bad his last two starts and we couldn't scratch a run over 4.2 innings after the Bregman leadoff homer

I feel like we're there with Chas....it's not going to happen (at least not this season); are there no options left with him? (I'm assuming the answer is "no", but he just provides zero value to the roster and is as lost as I've ever seen a player be....including Abreu)

I mean, getting to lead off an inning with Alvarez and Diaz is the dream scenario for Boston, especially in a 1-run game.

I'm willing to bet that we have guys at 1st/2nd with no outs in the bottom of the 6th and both are likely to see little-to-nothing to hit.

There's very little chance that would backfire on them as the 4 through 9 of today's lineup is about as punchless as you could dream up.

Baseball is hard enough when dealing with injuries, but it's even harder when you put in a little overtime to really see if you can screw up any semblance of consistency.
