+9 to .500, 1.5 game lead and it's really 2 in the loss column. JC lost again so we pick up a game there if it's needed.

I remember when we traded for Yainer, 2015 told us the rap on him was that he didn't really love baseball or work at it, and thus why we could get such a high ceiling prospect for Straw. If accurate, it seems he has really done a 180. Kid is getting it done and having fun.

about the 8th inning...

- Jake and Dubon cannot get those bases loaded at-bats in close games

have to go to a pinch-hitter for one or both

- Abreu needs to become the 8th inning guy. Pressly can't keep doing that.

a better hitting lineup would have smashed the frisbee sliders that the Rays missed
