It makes the most sense to start him Friday. Gives the rest of the rotation an extra day off which they could use.

Someone somewhere mentioned he would sit and watch a game and get settled and was probably going to start today but when Martin Perez was traded and their starter was TBD that may throw a wrench into things.

Personally I don't mind a young kid who's just called up sit and acclimate a bit before being throw in there.

I think he'll play more corner OF. We now have 3 RHH OFers who can player any of the 3. Jake should be getting the CF reps. The corners can rotate based on the SP. Cabbage vs RHP, Leon & Chas vs LHP. Occasional LF starts for Yordan.

It's what I figured. Maybe if we weren't trying to salvage a win he'd have gotten a start today.

He's in the bottom 5 (total not %) of full or almost full-time relievers in K%. Bottom 10 in Whiff%. Unless you have elite soft contact and not walks, you cannot get by like that. But he's terrible at HH%, BB%, and Barrel%.

Don't think there's a chance he'll clear waivers. Dude still throws 95. Wild as he'll, but someone will throw out league minimum for him.
