Maybe they are auditioning JS to see how bad we need to get a replacement. Get him some consistent PT and see if (hope) his numbers pick up.

Our lineup looks so mediocre. In addtion to getting Tucker back, we really need a couple of our bats to pick it up (aside from Altuve and Alvarez). I guess Bregman is the obvious choice for one of them, and Diaz would have to be the front-runner for the second one. Anyone have any other contendors? Chas has looked so terrible, I don't have high hopes for him to return to last year's form.

Bloss vs Skenes

An expiring #4/5 makes sense, just to take some load off the rookies. They need a vet who can throw 4+ innings with 3 runs allowed. Houston is right in the middle of team averages (4.00 ERA, 100 ERA+). Arrighetti (5.85/70) and Bloss (6.94/59) weigh that down, obviously one more than the other because of starts. So, anyone near a 5.00 (85-90) would help.

So, who fits that description? It's actually Kikuchi, and to a tee. Of course, you have to believe the past month was more of an aberration than a continuing trend. He has a 4.75 ERA (85 ERA+) overall and averages right at 5 innings per start. Not sure how I feel about it, but I could see this happening given the Astros farm system.

The Nats are cleaning up with legitimate stars from the Soto trade.

I'm not sure what his current numbers are, but he was like 1 for 18 wrisp at home, like 6 weeks ago.

Yeah a previous report said they were reminding teams they need to offer more than the QO is worth. That tells me the market isn't strong. I think we can beat the QO value without moving a core prospect.
