Bone bruise is the entire season now? Jeez, Tucker has been one of the most polarizing players for the Astros in recent memory.
I think a lot of people don't realize a bone bruise is actually a break of sorts.
He's been out for what? 5 weeks now? Barring a break which required surgery he should be able to head to a rehab stint after about 6 weeks.
Then I think he being a malingerer. There's no damn way a bone bruise should take this long.
Well, you don't know *****
And you do? A bone bruise shouldn't be 8 weeks or more for an elite athlete. The extent of injuries vary but Travis Kelce had a pretty significant bone bruise last September and was out 2 weeks. He even talked about you just play through the pain.
Yes I have experience with bone bruises. Healing is healing regardless of athletic level. In large bones they can take months to heal and the risk of a full break (as opposed to a simple fracture) is high.
Comparing what an NFL player plays through compared to MLB is dumb. Should MLB players just suck it up when they have a broken hand or finger? NFL players play through that all the time.

Asked today about Kyle Tucker's rehab, Dana Brown replied: "there’s been so much soreness in the deep bruise of that bone. If you break that bone it usually takes a long time, weeks ... If he would have broke it, it would be worse. But it’s still taking longer than we expected."
