That quote is taken way out of context. Shame on the guy who tweeted that. He knows what he's doing.

His point was that if MMP has power then why can't George R Brown have power was well?

He wasn't taking a shot at the Astros at all.

It's a bad statement either way. If the Galleria has power why not River Oaks? If Jersey Village has power why not Woodwind Lakes?

I'm sure if the Mayor really wanted to he could have a conversation with someone at Centerpoint about the specific issues with GRB fairly quickly but it's better to gripe about it to the public and make it look like you're doing something.

Because both of those locations are downtown and the convention center could be used as a cooling station if needed. I highly, highly doubt he's taking shots at the Astros.

Also- if his point is the priority should have been the convention center before MMP I think that's totally fair. It still doesn't mean he's dissing the Astros.

Obviously the #1 priority should be my home which they're saying won't have power until Sunday most likely
