Looks like the Rangers may have 3 years of Arb with Walsh, if they choose to keep him.
From a 1B perspective, I think Lowe would remain at 1B and Walsh would DH.
If Walsh and Taveras get off to solid starts, we could get some good return on them.

All of our players over-achieved and will regress even though they haven't reached their prime, while simultaneously saying our team is still young.
All of their players are veterans and anyone who under performed in 2023 will return to greatness even though they are past their prime.
Much of that is what we see parroted by the "journalists" who are paid by word count and not substance, I suppose.
We return our 4 leading SPs and will add 2 HoF SPs mid-season. We got rid of much of our RP that had a Save % less than 50%. We lose Garver, but add overall offensively.
We should be an improved team in Bochy+Maddux 2nd year. Two legends.
They will be going with a starting C that the previous HoF player and coach couldn't trust with the rotation supported by a 1st time Manager. Guess we'll see how it goes.

They are among the AL favorites, so I don't necessarily blame their optimism. Their bullpen will be nuts with two legit closers. What is the word on Bregman? Is 2024 going to be it and the walks via free agency, or are they expected to make a play for him. I know Altuve signed a pretty team friendly extension a few months back, but Bregman probably will be looking for a payday.

- all of our hitters overachieved…… big time and will fall back down to earth. All of our big name pitchers are more hurt than we're letting on and won't come back. They supposedly warned us about signing Degrom or trading for Scherzer.
- Dusty had a "bone to pick" with their backup catcher Diaz and was pissed that they traded one of his "favorites" Straw for him. Also supposedly Dusty loved Maldy and wasn't going to let maldy sit on the bench too long because of feelings, bonds, and friendships.
- Diaz would have crushed the rookie of the year award and made us all miserable in the playoffs last year.
- Several of them have wished serious injury or worse on adolis Garcia.
- they trash semien for playing everyday and think he's over rated
- they think we're crazy for calling Framber obese. He's a MOUNTAIN OF MUSCLE.
- they think we're located in "south Oklahoma"
Just a bunch of the derogatory comments from their "sexy pic good ole boys club" thread that I remember seeing over the last year or 2 about our team.
While we're on the subject, kudos to whoever reported the sexy pics on their thread. I know it was one of you, but it really struck a nerve with them and pissed them off.

There are some people down here trying to talk themselves into the Astros keeping him, but I don't see that happening unless this year completely cratered free agent expectations. Even then, I'd think they'll spend that money elsewhere.

Jose Urena has officially made the opening day roster. He posted a 2.25 ERA - 20.9% K rate - 40% Ground Ball Rate over 16 innings pitched this spring. He is why Marc Church is not making the opening day roster, combined with the fact that Chruch is still 22. I have a feeling they sent Church down with specific, nit picky things to work on, and told him we'll see you in two months or less.
I'm really glad he made it. I've been pimping him for some time.
