I think teams are starting to spend more wisely, and agents are going to have to adapt. If I'm Dana/Crane, I'm waiting to see if I can land one in a more team friendly deal. If you have four teams in the same general ballpark in terms of offers, seems logical that you go where you can win a WS. Boras is just hoping some team increases their offer in desperation.
There is great concern about Bally Sports/Diamond Sports going under and what the future income will be for those television rights. I think there is also some concern about how much money television will bring in. Teams are not feeling confident and willing to make big, long term commitments.
