It can be done, but you gotta be willing to shell out the cash. Sofi actually turned out awesome, but I think it ended up 3x the original budget.

That's where most of the difference between rendering and real life is - willingness to spend.

"If nothing else goes wrong"

If JV has to miss the first few weeks and nothing else goes wrong with injuries to the staff, we can manage with Framber, Javier, Hunter, Urquidy and JB for the time being.

But it does bring back some 2023 bad memories. As injuries to the staff piled up early last year, it was like... "ok, we can manage this as long as nothing else goes wrong". Then a few days later, "damnit!"

I would have preferred they both being available 8 or 9 and we play the match ups accordingly. Seems silly to spend high dollar to not put them in the best scenario to help the team.

Pretty sure he's up regardless. You can't send him down at all without him being exposed.

I think you're right. Last year it was the # of options within a year (5), but now he's out of option years.

I think that helmet is still All Star. I don't believe Nike makes a mask that would meet MLB standards.

Looks like Nike does make a mask. I didn't realize how prevalent their gear was for catchers.

They make a fantastic Titanium mask in the traditional style. They only offer it to their players in professional ball and in colleges that they sponsor. Occasionally they will hit the secondary market and sell for about $500. I should have clarified that they don't make a helmet (hockey style mask) that would meet MLB standards.
