FWIW, I have heard that Kyle Tucker’s agent has expressed to the club that he would like to stay in Houston long term…I haven’t heard anything else other than that. Nothing about any negotiations. Just simply that Tucker has expressed the desire to stay in Houston. That’s all.

As good as this news is, nothing Crane has done in the past makes it seem like he's willing to be competitive with extending Tucker.

Thanks I use this as my source for all major MLB stuff and no one was posting finalized stuff

Before free agency fangraphs crowsources expected deals. They show them on their Free Agent Tracker. Generally, it is fairly close, but under valued by about 15-20%. Based on the RPs signed it's more like 25-30% under. The only real misses have been Emilio Pagan & Reynaldo Lopez. Kenta Maeda was exactly right. E-Rod, Miley, Gibson, & Lynn were very close.

Here are some of the names we have been rumored with (plus Moore because why not)
Hicks 3/27 -> 3/35
Stephenson 2/10 -> 2/13 (still feels way too low MLBTR has 4/36) -> 3/24 (split the difference)
Neris 2/16 -> 2/21
Moore 1/7 -> 1/9
Rodriquez 4/32 (not listed on the crowdsource but based on MLBTR)

With our Luxury Tax Payroll Estimate at $237,396,032 aka right at the limit, do we sign one of the names listed to bolster the bullpen? I have a hard time believing we're trading #s with Hicks if we're not even if we don't sign Hicks. Also, who would be your pick to sign, knowing the impact the the payroll?

You could go 10/300 and get the AAV up but it helps the team so much more to do the longer deal.
