Letting Bregman and Tucker walk would absolutely suck. I'm not pushing for long extensions or for trades… just saying it would suck. Lose your talent for nothing.

iI is who we are as a club. We arent NYY, LAD, NYM or even The Rangers handing out massive end of life contracts to players. So we let guys walk and hope it works out. So far with George and Carlos it has. Same with Cole to the extent we replaced him.W said:yes, it would be very bad if the 'stros lose both of themMarvin said:

I'd be okay losing Bregman if that money goes to Tucker.
But if Crane lets them both walk, he'd be trending in the direction of the A's and Rays with the "once they finish their cheap deal we cut them loose"

News: The Mets did not receive a Top 6 pick in Major League Baseball's draft lottery.

As such, their pick will not be protected from CBT penalties, which means the Mets will drop 10 spots from ninth overall to 19th.
Dana Brown said there has been "progress" made today. He said the Astros are active in both the trade and free-agent market, but the free agent pursuits are "promising." Brown said there's a "good chance" the Astros could do something before the winter meetings end

Dana Brown: "Yainer has earned the right to be that everyday guy & I think Yainer proved to us he can handle a staff — even though he's a young guy. There have been young guys in our game that have come up and been able to handle older staffs ... Yainer can really handle a staff"

Listening to Brown sounds like we have no needs and will just roll with what we got while sprinkling in some minor league scrub free agents.

There's talk about rolling Singleton out as an option at first, they have bigger problems than Jake
