So hypothetically, we get a center fielder and a good starting pitcher in Cease, but we have to give up two starting pitchers to do it. JV, Javier, Framber, France, and Cease are the starting rotation with LMJ and LuAce coming back in July-August. Would we still need another starter, or order some Spaghetti from Sugar Land to fill the gap until those guys get back?

Trout will be on the IL by July and Shohei is having TJ surgery. They will fit right in. LA had something like 12 pitchers on the 60 day IL at the end of the season.

extensions are one thing, but these are FAs taking less. Extensions by their nature are almost always going to be below (FA) market value.

Sure but I bet the Phillies would love to have Nola 2/55 M and not be paying him until he's 39.

Keep in mind Phillies are paying 95 cents on the dollar. We're not exactly in the same ballpark with our few FA offers to big names.
