Don't get me wrong. Crane is a good owner. But it would be nice to have serious FU money compared to the rest of the owners.
He really didn't need to stay quiet because he wouldn't have to be quiet if there was no decision to make as of November 7th. It's not like it was a big surprise Dusty was retiring, not being invited back, or whatever led to him not being the manager as soon as the ALCS was over. Stuff like this is why I prefer my GM to stay silent. So many want a GM that is transparent and doesn't engage in coach speak. Well, this his the other side of that coin.
This issue isn't that big of a deal, but I just want a GM to silently go about their business and snatch guys.
