I've scoured the Padres roster... I think if I was the Astros I would target......

Jake Cronenworth. Plays 1B and 2B... has also logged innings at SS and 3B. I don't see why he can't play LF.

Lefty hitter who struggled this year (fought an injury), but has classically done well vs RHP. Would be an awesome addition to the bottom half of the lineup. He doesn't strike out bad and walks at a decent clip. He's signed through 2030 for about $12 million a season. I don't see him costing much as far as a trade goes if the Padres are just looking to offload salary.

Or just say duck it and let's go get Soto. My goodness he would absolutely murder in this lineup. He CRUSHES RHP. Would be a perfect freakin fit.
