Not sure why people would argue with you on this.

Michael Brantley has literally filled LF (at least theoretically) for us for 4 years on a pair of 2 year contracts at that salary.

While I do not see us throwing out a 4-5 year deal for a LF, I absolutely expect us to throw 2/30ish at Lf, whether to one player or combined for a platoon duo.

Our prospect OFs aren't ready yet.

That's pretty much my thought process too. We're going to give out another Abreu contract but why not 2/32 (the Brantley special)? Or why not a 1/20 prove it deal like Belli got last year? A guy in year 3 (or 4 in special cases) or arbitration is probably going to make 8-12 M. I don't think that's out of the question at all. That actually is the "budget" free agent or rental.

It's amazing how differently teams are playing at home. Philly losing 2 straight in games 6/7, our 1-5 postseason record, Rangers essentially losing 2 at home if it weren't for an idiotic pitch to Seager, and now AZ looking like the A's at home.

You gotta give it to him...Bochy is managing that BP masterfully.

He's not letting them face guys too often, avoiding the 3 hitter rule by pitching changes with 2 outs, and pitching his B team in the right spots.

Always looks good when the guys come in and execute. It could quickly start to look like game two if you make a change and a guy doesn't have it.
