Hopefully next manager will incorporate a little of that NL style offense. Had a ton of RISP LOB this past season due to expecting the classic AL style 3 run HR instead of moving station to station. Did the Astros have a successful bunt all season?

XBH or nothing. Don't mean telling Yordan to change his approach but some other parts of the order could've benefited from taking singles from time to time as opposed to trying to go yard

Yup. And much better plate discipline.

We were far too aggressive against their pitching staff. They got quick outs. Getting to 3-X counts really wears down a pitcher.

Quite a few of our players came up swinging at absolute any garbage thrown our way

The Snakes were not exactly working the count against Montgomery tonight, he worked into the 7th and only threw 75 pitches.

It's on a relative basis. They worked the counts much better than the Jankgers

Just for the record Strom wasn't here last year when we had a light out BP and starters that could go deep into games

One thing I have noticed is how aggressive the Dbacks have been on taking the extra base. It's not just the fast guys but also guys like Longoria. Obviously they were up last night but they even ran on Garcia.

They are fun to watch for sure. Could be wrong but seems like the Astros did this more. They were very plodding on the bases this year.

Kind of surprised the run differential is that low. Think it was 10 calls against the rangers and 2 against the d backs. Either way, didn't change the game, but annoying that this is the norm for playoff umps.

The umpiring has been abysmal this post season. With all the metrics and what not don't know why MLB isn't rewarding the top umpires with playoff jobs.
