Surprised they have any prospects left to give after the Soto / Hader / Snell deals

Going from Southside Chicago to San Diego sounds like a win to me for Cease
The fact that Dylan Cease was traded BEFORE Snell or Montgomery signed is really something.#WhiteSox | #Padres

Would be hilarious if the Yankees signed Montgomery again and didn't learn from his usage last time (telling him not to use his fastball)

The main guy they traded is the headline piece they got from the Yanks in the Soto deal (Thorpe). The Yanks basically helped them get the pitcher the Yankees wanted.Beau Holder said:EastCoastAgNc said:BREAKING: The San Diego Padres are finalizing a trade to acquire right-hander Dylan Cease from the Chicago White Sox, sources tell ESPN.

This is the most Padres thing ever.
Hope we catch wind of some jimmies rustled in the Bronx and Arlington.
I can't help but continue to toy with trading Framber and signing one of Montgomery or Snell. Maybe if you can get a club to take on loser Montero's salary you can still stay under the second luxury tax threshold.EastCoastAgNc said:The fact that Dylan Cease was traded BEFORE Snell or Montgomery signed is really something.#WhiteSox | #Padres

Will this Dylan Cease trade prompt teams to sign Blake Snell or Jordan Montgomery?@Ken_Rosenthal on why he doesn't think so — still the same staring match.

Source confirms: Brewers closer Devin Williams expected to miss about three months with two stress fractures in his back. First: @JeffPassan.

That sounds incredibly painful

What I would pay extra attention to
-Javier/Diaz comfort level
-Cabbage look comfortable at 3B
-Loperfido's stroke

We fixed him once. We can do it again. And if we do we have the best 6th inning pitcher in baseball.

Did we fix him…or was he just lucky?
Thank God, I always forget how miserable boring sports are post-Super Bowl, pre-Opening Day. Losing Joel Embiid off my fantasy basketball team has had me in a sports IDGAF mode for almost a month now.tjack16 said:

Spring Training statistics are not always indicators of what's to come in the regular season, but it's worth noting that Meyers has shown some pop in camp. He homered in his first at-bat and singled in the seventh inning of the Astros' 6-5 loss to the Mets Wednesday night, and with two weeks remaining until the regular season, he has a 1.150 OPS this spring.
"He's in a really good place," Espada said before the game. "His swing is different from last year. Success also helps build some confidence. Like I told him in the winter, he's going to play. I think when he's healthy, he's a very good player. He's a very valuable player to our team. It's showing so far in camp."
...
"He looks really good this camp," McCormick said. "I can tell he's hungry, and he has a longer leash this year, which is huge. There's a lot of confidence and support in this organization, and that's big."
Same. This season feels special.tjack16 said:The Porkchop Express said:Thank God, I always forget how miserable boring sports are post-Super Bowl, pre-Opening Day. Losing Joel Embiid off my fantasy basketball team has had me in a sports IDGAF mode for almost a month now.tjack16 said:

I'm all in on Aggie baseball every spring so that's been fun. If the Aggies win a few in the SEC tournament then March madness will be a little better for passing the time.
