Disagree. The D Backs aren't "just happy to be there". The are a solid team in a tough division. They are young and probably overachieved this year, but I'm sure they are thinking -- "We might as well win the whole damn thing...."

Im in PHX this weekend. And this town is not a baseball town like Houston. Literally no hype that is in your face everywhere like Houston is. It is bizarre, I am sure a lot are excited, but whereas you cant escape Astros love in Htown, it is hard to notice here in PHX. That said, go Dbacks!!

I have no idea what to think about this series.

Texas has the bats and they're hot (thanks Montero) but Arizona has the arms and defense.

I think it's either gonna be Rangers in 4 or DBacks in 7

Not hard to be better than an 84-win team riding a heater that has to end. Astros blew it by beating themselves repeatedly at home.

I'm seeing Shakey Graves at White Oak tonight rather than listen to Davis & Smoltz slurp some more.

A former co-worker and I have been saying this since '19...I think he could be a Hader type...give you 2 innings if you need it, but also finish games from time to time to take the pressure off Pressley and Abreu

They are the National League Rays. LOTS of true baseball fans in the area are fans/transplants of teams who have Spring Training around there. I remember being in Phoenix a few years back (2010) and seeing nothing promoting the Dbacks.

They did the smart thing of building the farm, growing core pieces… and then signing younger free agents like Semien, Eovaldi and Seager to big deals.

DeGrom was the one move that hasn't really worked out
