Ford and Sparky were saying his fast ball looked really good. Sounded like he was throwing harder

Is the game on the radio? On the internet. I just turned 50 guys, I'm going to be asking you all a lot of dumb questions for the rest of time.

His fastball could be Javier like, but it's never played like that. Similar vertical movement "rises" his Jose's has more glove side movement vs Javier's arm side. And now I'm looking at the #s and most of the best high spin fastballs break like Javier's. (Nestor, Bryce Miller, Cease, Strider).

Looks like he's really making a name for himself. One that ends up on the Space Cowboys roster

Curious as to yalls answers.

My Astros games
- 2017: division clincher/JV first home start (at that time I felt like that was the pinnacle of Astros baseball)
- 2019: Correa walk off HR ALCS G2
- 2021: Altuve walk off vs Yankees (comeback game)
- 2021: ALCS G6 (to win the pennant)
- 2023: Altuve 2,000 hit

Non Astros
- the Acie Law shot vs Texas
- Michael Barash walk off vs Texas
- 2018 LSU 7 OT
- 2021 Alabama
- 2022 Super Regionals vs Louisville

Hall of Shame answers
- 2011 Texas (the phantom personal foul)
- 2019 LSU … 50-7 beatdown by Burrow
- 2019 WS G7
- 2023 ALCS G7

He's working on some mechanical things from what I've been told. The struggles aren't necessarily a surprise. It'll take a handful of outings to get things straightened out. That's what spring is for.

Goes back to don't put a lot of stock in ST results.

Pitchers are usually working on things, making tweaks, experimenting with different things, etc.

Yup, 1.1 innings of poor pitching in his first 2 outings in the spring mean he's toast. Might as well cut him now.

Altuve's clinching homer off Chapman.

I was at the Astros/Dodgers game in 1989. Went 22 innings and didn't end until almost 3am. Fernando didn't pitch but he did play 1b. It was, and still may be, the longest game in NL history. Astros won and then won the next day, also in extra innings. The ushers had the remaining fans move to the lower section during the game so they could start cleaning the Dome up for the Sunday game.

I was there for the 1981 playoff game vs LA. Nolan threw a complete game 2 hitter and we won 3-1 in the 9th

I was there in 1984 when Dickie Thon went from budding superstar to destroyed. Most sickening sound I have ever heard.

I was there for the day Big John broke the sips.

I don't attend very much live sports. Can't think of a single meaningful Astros game I've attended. But I vividly remember watching the Chris Burke walk off game in my dorm freshman year.

Most notable sporting events attended
-RWB game
-'02 Oklahoma
-the beat down of Baylor

I sure wish they would go back to playing in Kissimmee, I remember going to Disney World for Spring Break when I was a kid and we would alternate being going to the parks and going to spring training games. Jupiter is beautiful and has great golf but it's about a 5 hour round trip from Orlando
