Congrats Rangers fans. Y'all have been in the desert for a while. Enjoy the good times like this as they are always the most fleeting.

At the beginning of this series, I really thought the Astros would beat us in 5, because I knew we couldn't beat them here. But I also said if the Rangers would win, it would be in 7 and because we would win them all in Houston. My boys just can't believe this happened and I really didn't think it would be ours until the 9th inning last night. Once we beat the Astros last night, the crazy thing that the Astros are dealing with at home just became obvious they couldn't overcome this. Strangest thing I've ever seen from such a great team…but we are gonna go to the World Series and win it all!

Fun fact Tuckers ground out to end the game was hit harder than any of the ranger HR tonight. 107mph -6 degree launch angle. Compare that to Garcias 44 degree launch. That's baseball

I never got an answer (understandable as I asked it right after the end of Game 6) but what has happened to Tucker?

Did he have a stretch like this during the regular season?

I'm assuming y'all want him back even if there's a sour taste in your mouths right now with him?

I imagine the same thing we saw with Seager or Semien or Lowe at times and in this series. He'll get it back for sure. Just a really bad time to go cold.

I wonder if there is more. His body language is awful. He didn't even run on the dropped 3rd strike. It's like he didn't want to be there.

Eh, I'd be surprised if he didn't turn it around. And not running on dropped third strikes seems to be the new thing like no one even pretending to actually run out grounders anymore.

When he slumps he wears it emotionally and he carries it to the field. Everyone slumps but his seem to really eat him up. It's a pretty bad negative feedback loop. We have seen this from him before.

He'll definitely pull out of it. He didn't hit .284 and 112 RBI in accident. Just got unlucky!

Not to be snide, but it's called the AL pennant.

Astros fans, how long do y'all think the window is still open for the current team? Other than a close division race in 2015 and this year, the "rivalry" has consisted of one team being good while the other team is crap. Growing up I got so tired of being told 5-hour Yankees Red Sox games were somehow the pinnacle of baseball, would love to see this Texas rivalry jump towards the top with some sustained periods of both teams being competitive.

And, of course, hats off to the Astros for an incredible run for the past 7 years. Making the ALCS that many times in a row is crazy. After watching the Rangers collapse in 2012 following their back to back pennants I have an extreme appreciation for how difficult it is for a franchise to sustain that level of success for so long.

I've always looked at 2025 as the final year of the window. That's when guys like Framber, Tucker, JV (maybe after 2024) and others are gone.

Theoretically it could go through 2026 but who knows.

I suppose that's all going to come down to how willing Crane is to open up his checkbook to retain these guys. I can't see them all staying, but I have to assume he's going to try to lock up Altuve so he retires an Astro.

Altuve will be one for his entire career. Yordan is signed for 4 more year. Bregman could try to get a big pay day and I'm not sure we would offer it to him

Wasn't Bregman's contract considered somewhat team friendly at the time? Versus what he might have grabbed if waited for FA anyway?

Yes, it's like he settled arbitration and then signed a 2 year / 61 M deal with us after 2022. While he may not have gotten 30.5 M a year in free agency he would have crushed the 61 M mark at 29 years old.

I will say this… we Astros fans heard after the ALCS in 2020 that our run was coming to an end. And since then we have won two pennants, a title, and made it back to game seven of the ALCS. So I would say the run is not over until we miss the playoffs

The playoff and championship window is clearly open for the next 2 years. Predicting anything beyond that is full of ifs. We won the division and made it to within one game of our 3rd straight WS and we didn't have JV for most of the year, Altuve and Yordan missed significant time, our ace (Framber) had a very rough end of season and playoffs, we played the statistically worse catcher in MLB every day, and our SS went through a sophomore slump.

This is Dana Brown's offseason. He'll fill needs in LF, add to the bullpen and probably find another quality SP.

Tucker missed several games due to illness late in the season correct? I wonder if he had Covid or Mono, or something with lingering effects. That's an MVP caliber player who just didn't look right.

Dam, if he had mono that would suck and explain a few things, he didnt look right for a while now.

Rangers, good luck, I think yall have a good chance to win the whole Enchilada... crazy that the Snakes made it in, they barely got in the playoffs, just goes to show baseball is all about the hot teams.

There have been some truly horrible names listed. It would imagine no. Same with Showalter, Washington, Ausmus, Mattingly, etc.

I think the betting favorite and fan favorite is a promotion of bench coach Joe Espada. He took over when Boston hired away Alex Cora.

Washington turned Semien into a gold glove level player. Eventually Alvarez needs to learn how to play 1st base. This is the only answer. You get an outfielder with speed, preferably a lefty who can reach the RF seats 10 - 12 times/year AND will take a walk, maybe to platoon with Myers. Keep the DH spot for vets like Abreu and Brantley. Summary: Astros lineup is very good, but need more speed on defense, more speed in lineup, more pull power to RF, and higher OBP at bottom of order.

I am firmly in the Espada or Counsell camp. Want no part of Ron W, Buck, or any of the other old retread types.

Alvarez worked at 1B some this year and it didn't go well. I think he continues to play corner OF and DH, even if 1B might be an ideal spot to play him.

Meyers is almost certainly trade bait; and unless MB takes a very team friendly deal all signs point to him retiring.

Abreu played a pretty good defensive 1B this year. If he can get well and hit like he did in the playoffs (he was awful most of the regular season), he isn't going anywhere.

From fans. I can't see Crane hiring him back. I'd take him back immediately. I would have never let him go.
