I'm shopping Paul Goldschmidt aggressively for pitching.
The reason is Luken Baker. In 314 AAA(IL) ABs this season, he's hitting .334 with 33 HR and 98 RBI. He's slugging .720.
The Cardinals have called him up, but he's only had 40 ABs. He's 6'4" and 280 lbs. He can only play 1B or DH. With all of the DHing Willson Contreras has been doing this season and Goldschmidt at first, there's no where for Baker to play.
Baker is 26 yo and has mastered AAA. He's currently being wasted on the bench while the Cards continue to play veterans. The Cardinals are in dire need of starting pitching. I'd like to see them get a starter (two?) for Goldschmidt this offseason.
