I'm not opposed to Gallo getting a ring (Rangers fan myself) but I get tired of seeing the same teams every year. I'd much rather see a Seattle/San Diego series or something similar just to get some new blood.

The last Subway Series was an absolute snoozefest. I'm sure the FOX execs and Manfred are praying for this or a Damn Yankees vs Effin' Dodgers Series.

2012 SF over Det
2013 BoSox over StL
2014 SF over KC
2015 KC over Mets
2016 Cubs over Indians
2017 Astros over Dodgers
2018 BoSox over Dodgers
2019 Nats over Astros
2020 Dodgers over Rays
2021 Braves over Astros

Over last 10 years there have been 7 NL representatives with only LA and SF repeating
Over last 10 years there have been 6 AL representatives with only Hou, BoSox, KC repeating
8 different clubs have won it all with only BoSox and SF repeating.

No Yankees during that stretch so I am fine with the trend. Plus I would prefer not to see two teams that would not have even made the WC in previous format as #5 seeds in respective leagues.

While the Astros and Dodgers have each been 3 of last 5 years, they have only matched up once and they have consistently been the best during that span. A rematch of 2017 would be uniquely intriguing and we know what that storyline would be.

Has to be a playoff record. Some people think baseball is boring. I didn't watch a ton of that game, but when I flipped over to it every fan in the stadium was standing. Nice to see true baseball fans that can appreciate the drama of nearly playing the equivalent of 2 scoreless games.

I agree. I loved the 3 game series for wildcards, but hate the 5 off days for the 1 and 2 seeds.

Hate the random off day for AL between games 1 and 2.

Here is the schedule for #1 and #2 seeds in AL

10/5 - final game of season
10/6 - off
10/7 - off
10/8 - off
10/9 - off
10/10 - off
10/11 - Game 1 ALDS
10/12 - off
10/13 - Game 2 ALDS
10/14 - off
10/15 - Game 3 ALDS
10/16 - Game 4 ALDS (or off)
10/17 - Game 5 ALDS (or off)
10/18 - off
10/19 - Game 1 ALCS

That stretch of 2 games in 9 days is just brutal for baseball players.

Yup... Just a ton of build up in the sport. One bad pitch in the 3rd inning can potentially undo 162 games worth of regular season work.
